The Duomo Tour with or without the Climbing

The Dome of Florence’s Cathedral, visible from every corner of the city, has inspired Florentines for centuries to accomplish extraordinary things. The Cathedral complex is one of the most iconic ensembles in the world, deeply interwoven with the history, art, and identity of Florence.

Our experience includes a guided tour of approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes at the Opera del Duomo Museum, where a licensed guide will lead you through the fascinating story behind the construction and artistic masterpieces of one of Florence’s most remarkable landmarks. Inside the museum, you will admire works such as the extraordinary Maddalena by Donatello and one of the three powerful Pietà by Michelangelo, along with original sculptures and treasures from the Cathedral complex. During the tour, we will also discuss the magnificent bronze doors of the Baptistery created by Lorenzo Ghiberti, masterpieces that marked a turning point in Renaissance art.

Your ticket allows independent access (within the validity period) to:

• The Cathedral
• The Baptistery
• The Crypt

After the museum visit, your ticket will allow you to enter the Cathedral,The Crypt and the Baptistery independently on the following days, giving you even more flexibility to explore at your own pace.

At the end of the Opera del Duomo Museum guided tour, you may enhance your experience by adding:

• The climb to Giotto’s Bell Tower – 414 steps
• The climb to Brunelleschi’s Dome – 463 steps (and Giotto’s Bell Tower)

After receiving all the necessary historical and architectural explanations from your guide, you will complete the climb independently and enjoy breathtaking panoramic views over Florence.

If you prefer to be accompanied by the guide during the Dome and/or Bell Tower climb, this can be arranged for an additional fee.
